Death is a word that most people do not want to discuss.  However, it is a word that deals with a very real occurrence at some point in our lives.  Everyone who has lived in the past has faced it.  Everyone who is currently living must face it.  Everyone who is yet to be born will face it.  God's word tells us that everyone has an appointment with death; Hebrews 9:27.  There are no exceptions.  So what, if anything, can be done as far as preparing for it?  Please allow me to offer a solution.

Death is not the end of all existence as some would say.  I read a book many years ago entitled Voices from the Edge of Eternity, which chronicled the experiences f at least 25 people of various ages, ethnicities, vocations, religious beliefs, localities, et cetera as they faced the last moments of their life.  Each and every one of them expressed either fear and remorse or joy and expectation as they personally witnessed their future destination.  Now, take a moment to ask yourself this question:  What will I experience?

If I may, please allow me to share with you how you can experience joy and expectation and be absolutely certain of a future filled with peace, joy, happiness and love beyond anything you could ever imagine.

By looking into God's word, we know that our Heavenly Father has prepared a place for us with Him; John 14.2.  There is only one problem, sin.  Romans 3:23 tells us that we all have sinned.  Our sin has created a void and severed our fellowship and our relationship with God.  However, when we read John 3:16, we see that because of His love for us, God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us;  and because of this our sins can be forgiven and our fellowship can be restored.

God's mercy and grace are yours for the asking.  His mercy has no memory and His grace has no regrets.  Forgiveness and redemption are yours by simply acknowledging the fact that you have sinned, believing that Jesus Christ is God's redeemer and accepting Him as your Savior, according to Romans 10:9-10, you will be saved.  John 14:6, Jesus says that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  Psalms 103:12 assures you that your sins will be separated from you as far as the east is from the west.  John 1:12 also tells you that when you receive Him as Savior, you become a child of God.  Praise Him!

Won't you bow your heart today?  Ask God to forgive you and restore your fellowship with Him.  Your life will never be the same, guaranteed!

You may have had a past without God, but you can have a future with Him.
